Solution Overview
The Outdoor Lighting Distribution Box Solution addresses the operational reality that lighting system reliability depends far more on the quality of the distribution and control node than on the luminaires themselves. Lighting failures, unexpected outages, and maintenance difficulties almost always originate at the distribution box — inadequate protection, poor circuit organization, or missing control functionality.
This solution provides a complete, standardized lighting distribution box that integrates multi-circuit breakers, contactors, leakage protection, surge protection devices, timer/astronomical clock controllers, and smart lighting interfaces within a weatherproof outdoor enclosure. The result is a lighting infrastructure that is reliable, energy-efficient, and ready for intelligent control upgrades.
From municipal road lighting to campus landscape illumination, this solution supports both traditional on/off control and advanced smart lighting systems with dimming, fault reporting, and energy management capabilities. It is designed to serve as the long-term control node for outdoor lighting infrastructure.

System Workflow
Power Entry & Main Protection
Three-phase or single-phase grid power enters through the main breaker, energy meter, and Type 1+2 SPD. The main breaker provides overload and short-circuit protection for the entire distribution box.
Circuit Distribution
Power is distributed to individual circuit breakers and contactors for each lighting zone. Each circuit has independent overcurrent protection and leakage protection for safety.
Control Signal Processing
The timer or astronomical clock generates on/off commands based on programmed schedules. Light sensors provide ambient light feedback for automatic dusk-to-dawn control.
Contactor Operation
Control signals activate or deactivate contactors for each lighting circuit, switching the luminaires on or off. Contactors are rated for the full circuit load with appropriate safety margins.
Smart Control Integration
When smart lighting controllers are installed, they communicate with individual luminaire controllers via DALI or RS485, enabling dimming, fault detection, and energy reporting per luminaire.
Platform Reporting
Energy consumption data, circuit status, and fault alerts are transmitted to the lighting management platform or energy management system via the smart controller's communication interface.
